Wesley Community Center Gets a Boost from Bank

Bank Donates to Wesley Community Center

Wesley Community Center volunteers accept a check from Iowa State Bank for $3,000 to help with their building renovations.

In support of the renovation efforts at the Wesley Community Center, Iowa State Bank employees Deb Rahm, Karen Youngwirth and Brenda Schutjer presented a check for $3,000 to this project to LouAnn Neuroth, Eileen Plathe, John Rasmussen, and Craig Florea of the Wesley Community Center.  Volunteers for the center are currently conducting a fund drive to raise $58,000 to make major repairs on the community center building that was constructed thirty years ago.

“The community center in Wesley serves many functions and is a vital part of Wesley. We’re pleased to support the renovation project with our donation,” stated Rahm.  Iowa State Bank’s Wesley office is a neighbor to the Wesley Community Center.  All of the labor has been donated by numerous volunteers and coordinated by Vern Olson, Mick Cruise and Rich Gardner. Those interested in supporting the project should contact volunteers Craig Florea, Jim Otis, Eileen Plathe, John Rasmussen or LouAnn Neuroth.

With offices in Wesley, Corwith, Algona and Ruthven, Iowa State Bank is pleased to support the health, education and recreational organizations that make our communities a better place to live. In 2010 the bank made donations to over 175 organizations totaling over $106,000.
