Area residents worked together to present CWL Schools with the supplies needed for a successful school year. CWL Schools principal James Rotert received the cash donations and school materials for the 2011-2012 school year presented by Susan Burrs of Iowa State Bank.
The Corwith and Wesley offices of Iowa State Bank donated $250.00. Area residents donated $300 in cash donations along with two large boxes full of paper, crayons, markers, glue and other items. “The need for school supplies remains strong. We appreciate the community’s support and are proud to lead this effort to help kids in our community. This year’s cash donations were a record for our school supply drive,” state Scott
Whyte, Senior Vice President at Iowa State Bank.
This is the seventh year for the school supply drive which is aimed to help all kids be prepared for school. Iowa State Bank is committed to helping kids succeed with projects such as the school supply drive and with its Kool Kat Kids Klub, a savings program aimed at teaching kids the importance of saving money.
