Iowa State Bank's Christmas tradition continues to grow as the the Sharing Tree returns to the lobby Iowa State Bank in Ruthven beginning the day after Thanksgiving -- Friday, November 24. Area residents are invited to make Christmas special through this gift program for residents at the Ruthven Community Care Center and Assisted Living Center.
The Sharing Tree, located in the Ruthven Office lobby, features a gift tag for each of the residents of the Ruthven Community Care Center and Assisted Living Center. Gift tags are listed by name for each resident along with gift suggestions. Those wishing to purchase a gift for a resident listed on the Sharing Tree can pick up a gift tag at the bank and return the gift with the tag to the bank. For questions regarding The Sharing Tree, contact Melissa Torreson and Janelle Hoffman at 712.837.5215.
Cash donations can also be made by individual organizations or clubs. The funds donated will be used to purchase items remaining on the list. Checks should be made payable to Iowa State Bank "The Sharing Tree," and can be dropped off at the bank including the drive-up lane and night depository, or mailed to Iowa State Bank, P.O. Box 249, Ruthven, IA 51358.
"This is a great community project that helps others, especially for our residents of the RCCC. We thank the community for their continued support, and hope that this year's project is a great success," remarked Larry Conlon, Executive Vice President, Branch Manager. The Sharing Tree project ends at the bank's Christmas Open House on Friday, December 15, to allow for Christmas delivery.
