As Iowa agriculture continues to change, it’s important to stay up to date. Area farmers and those who work in the agribusiness sector are invited to attend Ag Connect, an upcoming event hosted by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach in Hancock and Kossuth Counties.

Ag Connect will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Wesley Community Center (105 2nd St. S, Wesley). Check-in will begin at 9:00 am, with the event following at 9:30 am.

The event will offer an opportunity for farmers and other interested parties to network and hear updates from Extension and USDA experts.  Three presenters will address changing climate, supply chain management, and farm succession and transition planning.  Presenters will be:

  • Jennifer Harrington, Staff Attorney, ISU Center For Agriculture Law & Taxation
  • Bobby Martens, Endowed Professor, Iowa Institute for Cooperatives
  • Dennis Todey, Director, USDA Midwest Climate Hub

Thanks to local sponsorship, the event is free to attend.  A complimentary meal following the program will also be provided. Event sponsors include Iowa State Bank.

Registration deadline for Ag Connect is Thursday, February 16.  For more information, or to register, contact either the Hancock or Kossuth County Extension Office:
