Since 2018, Iowa State Bank has been donating to local schools when their athletes earn a state-qualifying appearance. That's when schools typically sell apparel as a fundraiser. The bank contributes to the fundraising efforts by placing the bank's logo on the apparel sold for a per-item donation by the bank to the school.

The bank has donated a total of over $46,000 to Bishop Garrigan High School and over $37,000 to Algona HIgh School in support of student-athletes over the last seven school years.

Recently, the Algona High School football team received $2,680 for their apparel sales from a football playoff berth, and the Algona High School cross country team received $368 for their 2024 state meet appearance. The Bishop Garrigan High School football team received $2,400 for their state runner-up title in the eight-man football championship.
